If having a USC employee involved helps, let me know. Davidson Conference Center is at the Southwest corner of Figueroa and Jefferson. I don't know which lot they'll arange parking in, possibly the structure on Jefferson. (It's been a few years since I've been to main campus.) The driving directions on www.usc.edu are pretty bad (almost 20 extra miles on busy freeway in one case) and send you to the wrong end of campus. The maps there might be more useful, but DCC isn't labled on either. (It's the white H-shaped one on the north UPC map, and the black building labled "4" on the UPC map.) If the conference doesn't supply better directions, I can do so as can anyone that can read a map. The 110 exits have been redone in the past few years. I'm willing to do so, but with a few resevations/questions: What perspective of Debian is desired? (I'm an atypical user, and looking at trying to become a Debian Developer.) Does Debian want me representing them? (I won't take a no answer to this question as a personal insult.) What is SCALE expecting? I'm guessing a few minute description of the release followed by moderated discussion and/or q/a from the audience. Just talked with Sean, and he has no more T-shirts left over from the last LWE. But was going to make some for the next LWE in New York in Jan. He said he could make them earlier for SCaLE. To save on some shipping charges it was suggested/agreed to have them made down here, then afterward ship them to NY for the LWE or I might drive them back up to SF if up there before Jan. What is needed is someone who is officially part of Debian who could take responsiblity(I would, but am not an Debian developer)for holding/handling the shirts. I saw them at Comdex, but haven't ordered from them. Around $5/shirt depending on various factors. The price breaks might make an order of 504 attractive.
