They do have a nice lighted runway which Bun Boy will pick you up and drive you to the resturant(or they did) if the SD continegency decides to fly-in. I'm not advocating this suggestion, but it is a weekend, going all into Las Vegas (or even stateline) might be an alternative. Of course most casinos will proably get a parnaoid where they see a bunch a geeks exchanging pieces of papers with stange mixtures of letters and numbers on them ;) . Just an idea. When I first considered becoming a Debian Developer, someone pointed out the existance of the scd mailing list to me. Matt asked me if I was a developer, and only added me to the list after a few days, apperently after some discussion on the list. (After finding out what being a DD involved, I decided not to try to rush into it.) Later, when a new host was needed for the list I volenteered, explaining my host is on a DSL line and I use rather heavy spam filters. I set the list up using ecartis discussing the configuration with Matt Kraai. The archives I have are at http://www.blars.org/scd/. Postings from non-members are moderated, (by ether Matt or myself) and anyone can join by sending mail to scd-request@blars.org. Matt has a web page mentioning the list on lafn.org, but I've not publisized its existance. If desired, I could host a web page maybe something like http://bad.debian.net/ (They're a little more formally (dis)organized.) Perhaps we could get scd.debian.net. (Hosting is easy, but I don't particularly want to write the web pages.) Occasionally spammers attempt to send mail to the list which I lart, and serveral times spammers have attemted to use list commands to get the list of members. (That's restricted, and sometimes thier reply address bounces.) I've now filed my application to become a DD, have two sponsered packages (suck and hinfo) and am awaiting assignment of an AM.
