How well are you guys organized? Do you have t-shirts to sell? Do you have posters for the booth? What I wanted to suggest is that you get some posters printed and sell them. Ayo made some really nice posters for us recently, see http://73lab2.free.fr/debian_posters/ I assume that it's way too late to get them printed, but who knows? Perhaps someone could talk to a printing company to get some prices. Again, I don't know if they can be printed in 2 days, but it might be worth asking. You could sell the posters and hence wouldn't lose any money - but perhaps gain some. If posters are left over, Debian can pay for them, and we could ship them to the next conference. I suppose I'm too late, but perhaps someone could check if this is still feasible. Greenaway" ----- Greetings everyone, Hope everyone is getting excited about SCALE, which is happening in two days. I just wanted to touch base with everyone and give out a couple updates about booths at the show. Hopefully everyone received their booth information and is all set. Setup is tomorrow (Friday) between 12 noon and 8pm. For those that had expressed concern about leaving equipment on the show floor overnight, there will be security guards monitoring the facilities after we leave. If you havent emailed me the names of the people that will be running the booths, please do so as soon as possible so I can place them on the exhibitors list. I am also including a copy of the current show floor layout with booth numbers and names. SCALE will be in the West Hall of the Convention Center, the show floor will be in room 502AB. Parking at the convention center is $10/day, we apologize for this expense and strongly suggest carpooling. All parking areas should be available but the west hall parking will be closer to where we will be. Bringing equipment into the building is best done by parking in the west hall parking and coming into the front of the building. There are elevators and escalators available to the second floor. The show floor opens on Saturday at 9am, registration begins at 8am, and the facilities will be available at 7:30am for any last minute setup that is needed. Any questions, please dont hesitate to ask. I am also available online on irc on both Freenode and OFTC using the nickname "Morph" for any concerns you may have. Thank you all for your support in making SCALE a great event. Gareth J. Greenaway -- "My friends say I should act my age, What's my age again?" Gareth J. This has been demonstrated in other fora as well. I'm not sure yet whether to be encouraged by it. :-) > It would have been nice to have more to sell or give away. Next year I hope to be able to help more in advance; this time I was hampered by not being moved in yet. I believe there are now some bundled resources available for organizing Debian presence at these events; I think tbm can point in the right direction. -- - mdz -- To unsubscribe from this list, e-mail ecartis@scd.debian.net with a subject of `unsubscribe scd'.
